Introducing Greg Van Gompel, President/Operator of Greg’s Tilt Deck Services Ltd.

 

Greg has more than 30 years of experience working in the transportation industry. He began as a young man working for a small brake and clutch business as a service technician and mobile brake machinist in the early 1980s.

 

By the mid 1980s was employed by an up and coming towing company, which now is the largest towing company in Manitoba. Greg started out as a weekend driver, working his way up to being an owner operator and later starting their tilt deck hauling division, then excelling into a heavy towing and recovery operator.

 

In 2000, Greg left the towing industry to expand his knowledge in the transportation industry. He gambled on a position with a new waste hauling company as a roll off driver – needless to say this company fought its way to Winnipeg’s second largest waste hauling business. Greg advanced to a front end operator, and then took on more responsibilities as the Operations Supervisor, ensuring drivers and equipment operated in a safe and efficient manner. This company quickly rose to the top putting their customers first, whatever was required to service the customer was the responsibility of Greg and the sales staff. One of the company’s goals was to find a safe and effective cost saving solution to their waste collection, to which Greg was an important part of the process.

 

In 2013, Greg used his accumulated knowledge he acquired working for these highly respected companies and decided to seize the opportunity to venture out on his own thus starting Greg’s Tilt Deck Services Ltd. Specializing in equipment, classic cars, exotic cars, and motorcycles.

 

As a representative of industry leaders in Winnipeg and Manitoba over the past 30 years, Greg has built strong relationships in all aspects of the business community. He takes great pride in ensuring the needs of each customer and every business are met, and knows a courteous outlook coupled with a professionally attired operator with modern, clean and safe equipment is key to a successful operation, and intends to incorporate these practices into his own business.
